Wishing Everyone a Happy, Safe, and Above All, Healthy July 4!

July 1, 2021

While the holiday is a time to celebrate, picnic or barbeque with family,  relax, and enjoy fireworks, it can also be a stressful time. Veterans who have sacrificed so much the typical Independence Day celebrations include reminders that can trigger uneasiness and discomfort. Here are some tips from the @VeteransAffairs about how to make this 4th of July enjoyable for all — including those who have served our country.

On the other hand, for children with sensory integration disorders and their parents, the loud noises, bright lights, strong smells, and crowds of July 4 may create feelings of anxiety, fear or even dread. @EnablingDevices1 has some suggestions on how to make the July 4holiday less stressful for kids and parents alike.

Lastly, stay cool and safe in this hot weather!
