Please join us on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Lucky Strike Times Square in NYC for the second annual Pin It Forward Bowling Fundraiser—a participant-led event supporting CFS’ Innovative Planning and Advocacy Department.
Created by participants and powered by community, Pin It Forward supports the programs and opportunities rarely covered by public funding, but make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Last year, over 80 supporters came together to raise over $10,000 for these important programs.
This year, we’re aiming even higher!
CREATING OPPORTUNITY THROUGH ADVOCACY
For Jeffrey, Pin It Forward represents everything CFS’ Innovative Planning and Advocacy Department makes possible. A longtime CFS Ambassador, self-advocate, and community leader, Jeffrey has taken the lead in growing this participant-led fundraiser while advocating for disability rights from Albany to Washington, D.C.
WHY PIN IT FORWARD MATTERS
The Innovative Planning and Advocacy Department programs often fall outside traditional public funding, from peer-led workshops and disability rights education to financial literacy, life skills, and leadership development, civic and community engagement, and special projects and activities designed exclusively by CFS staff with our participants themselves.
For Jeffrey and so many participants at CFS, these opportunities have opened doors to leadership experiences, speaking engagements, advocacy campaigns, and lifelong friendships.
Of course, Jeffrey also loves bowling! A dedicated bowler whose high score tops 120, Jeffrey enjoys the friendly competition, teamwork, and chance to spend time with friends.
But what makes Pin It Forward special isn’t just the bowling. It’s seeing people come together around a shared goal and purpose.
