Supports and Services
We understand the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The about 1,400 individuals we work with in New York and New Jersey enjoy improved lives with growing independence, and their families enjoy reduced stress and more time for interests, work, and other family members.
Our person-centered philosophy
Whether you live in New York or New Jersey – or if an individual needs a lot of support or a little – we will work with everyone to ensure support plans are built with the wants and needs of each individual at the center. By including the individual supported and their families in the goal planning process, we increase independence and skill-building, helping to create a more meaningful life. For some, that might mean participating in 24-hour assistance in a small group home; for others, that might mean a few hours of companionship in the community. It’s our responsibility to find a way for everyone.
In New York, we operate residences, supervised apartments, community programs, and in-home programs throughout the five boroughs and in parts of Westchester and Long Island. Additionally, we have a renowned self-directed services program.
Primarily in North / Central New Jersey, we have 21 group homes and supported apartments. We also have three day programs located in Hackensack, Union, and Hillsborough.
