Staff Recognition – Rehabilitation Specialist, Lynn Delmato

December 13, 2017

Ms. Lynn Delmato, Community Habilitation Specialist on Long Island, was awarded the Roger Gatke Direct Support Professional Leadership Award at NYSACRA’s 2015 Conference in Riverhead, NY on November 12.

The day, hosted at the beautiful Atlantis Aquarium Banquet, began with keynote speaker Dr. Michael Fowlin. His engaging performance focused on perspective as he slipped in and out of 9 characters to “share their stories” in an ultimate celebration of our differences and the value of individuality and acceptance.

Other highlights of the day included the Innovation and Inspiration Fair- where DSPs had the opportunity to share their creative strategies, ideas, and innovations that motivate and encourage them- and a panel discussion with DSPs who participated in the Long Island Credential Pilot.

These DSP-Rs shared their experiences with becoming Registered Direct Support Professionals.

We are proud to have Ms. Delmato receive well-deserved acknowledgement; on behalf of The Center for Family Support.

Congratulations!
