Joshua Yates was hired as a seasonal sales associate for Disney in Times Square in October 2019. He knew that there was a possibility that if he did well, he could be kept on as a permanent employee. This was his first competitive employment opportunity. Joshua’s great manners, dynamic personality and ability to connect with others helped him to receive a position.
He has been diligently working endless hours during the holiday season and even worked on Thanksgiving Day. The week of Christmas and New Year’s, he worked a variety of shifts and many evenings until midnight. Disney management have commented on his strong work ethic, great communication style and friendly manner. Obtaining a permanent job at the flagship Disney Store in Times Square is a dream that many people couldn’t imagine.
Joshua was offered a permanent position with Disney on January 10, 2020. This is an amazing accomplishment and inspiration that we can all succeed when we are given an opportunity. Joshua, your patience and perseverance paid off! Congratulations!!
