Family members, advocates, service providers, and care managers are welcome to attend. All events are free of charge.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Starting at 9:00 am
Continental breakfast and time to visit with representatives from OPWDD and over 40 service providers, advocacy groups, and benefits specialists.

10:00am-11:00am workshop choices:
GRADUATION & BEYOND
Moderator: Leah Graham, Co-chair Adult Services Committee Panel discussion describing the different “after graduation” options for graduates and adults transitioning from school to the world of adult services. Presentations by: AVSP, Eden II, Lifestyles, On Your Mark, Grace Foundation, PCCS, AHRC Employment and the Melissa Riggio Program, Crossroads Unlimited, Inc.
PARENT SUPPORT – CONNECTING & SHARING
Moderator: Maryalice Fegeley Come and tap into the experiences of other parents/families. This is a “gathering of the minds” and an intimate sharing experience where you are free to ask questions and find resources that have worked for you and learn about resources that have worked for other families in the past.

SELF-DIRECTION (SD) IN A NUTSHELL
Moderated by: Melissa Chapman & Fidaije Nesimi, Co-Chairs, SD Support Committee Everything you ever wanted to know about self-direction and were afraid to ask. Components of the self-direction program with the opportunity to ask questions. How to build and maintain a strong circle of support. Presentations by: Self-Advocate, Designee, Care Manager, Broker, Fiscal Intermediary
