2022 Awards Dinner

A Night Honoring Gallagher Nonprofit and Celebrating Steven Vernikoff’s 30 Years as CEO

Join The Center for Family Support for an evening of dinner and dancing at our annual Awards Dinner! The event will benefit the Center for Family Support Foundation and will make possible special services and programs that we would otherwise not be able offer. These unique opportunities help create rich, full lives for those we support, and help us make dreams come true for those we have the honor of working with like Keith and Elisanta.

We are grateful this year to be able to present the CFS Advocate Award to our honoree, Gallagher Nonprofit.

Gallagher Nonprofit Insurance and Consulting: For almost a century, our focus has been on proactively providing insurance, risk management services and comprehensive benefits consulting that help our nonprofit clients protect their organizations (and reputation), staff, volunteers and boards, while maximizing their impact. Gallagher Nonprofit insurance and risk management teams collaborate internally and externally to optimize your connection to talent and our unparalleled breadth of specialized services. We work with more than 24,000 nonprofits around the globe – small to large – bringing insights and expertise that sustain and protect their missions. Gallagher is proud to advise CFS on protecting their people and property while saving mission-critical dollars to re-invest in our community.

We will also celebrate all Steven Vernikoff achieved during his tenure as CEO. Steven Vernikoff has been the Chief Executive Officer at the Center for Family Support for 30 years, and has worked in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field for 45 years. Under his leadership CFS became an innovator in the person-centered model of services, setting the standard for individualized support. During his tenure as CEO, CFS began its residential program in New York, and founded CFS New Jersey and CFS Self-Directed Services. He is widely recognized as a leader in the field, serving as President of the Advance of Greater New York and Advance Care Alliance, and is past President of the Board of the Alliance for Citizens with Disabilities.
